2007 Spring Conference
On Friday, March 30, 2007, the NEOPA Spring Conference, in partnership with Southeast Community College, was held in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the Southeast Community College Continuing Education Center. The theme for the Conference was "Back to Basics - The 3 R's: Rejuvenate Your Potential, Revitalize Your Attitude, Renovate Your Skill. |
| Our morning keynote speaker was Linda Sockwell, NAEOP President Elect. Linda gave us some insight on how to be the perfect assistant to your boss. |
Sue Schlichtemeier-Nutzman, Ph.D was another one of the Conference speakers. Sue's topic was the "Strength of Four Generations." Other speakers for the day were Lori Balke, "Colors: Temperament & Personality"; Sandy Taulborg, "Be Happy and Well"; Lisa Bourlier, "Any Idea where I put my ___?"; and Dave Corbin, Ph.D., "Putting Your Best Foot Forward". |
| At the Social the night before the Conference, many of the participants had the opportunity to play games, eat, and socialize with fellow NEOPA members. |
At each of our spring conferences, we install our elected officers and Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Here, members fellowship together at the evening meal. The installation is a tradition that helps instill a sense of pride in membership and fellowship with our friends from across the state. |
| Each July the newly elected officers and Board begin their year of service. Personal and professional growth is the result of service to our fellow office staff. Life-long friendships also result from these relationships. |
| Did we mention friends and fun - a winning combination! |
