2005 Spring Conference
 |
In the spring of 2005, NEOPA and members of LPSAOP joined together to host the Central Area Conference. The Central Area, six states within our national organization, annually host a conference. We had over 100 attendees from Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. We also had guests from Minnesota and Maryland! In our photo at the left, we gathered for a social activity the night before the conference and had fun with karaoke. |
| We often open the day of the conference with a flag ceremony. Here, representatives from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Nebraska open the day by carrying their state flags. |

The support of our administrators and supervisors is very important to us. Here, Dr. Nancy Biggs from LPS, took part in our opening session. Lincoln Public Schools has an active local association and many state and national members as well. We appreciate the support of our administrators! |
| One of presenters in April was from Marshall, Minnesota. Evonne was a great motivational speaker. She encouraged us to have goals, keep a journal, and look at life in a positive manner. She reminded us to laugh. Our speakers vary at each conference. |

At each of our spring conferences, we install our elected officers and Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Here, members fellowship together at the evening meal. The installation is a tradition that helps instill a sense of pride in membership and fellowship with our friends from across the state. |
| The Board of Directors serves for one year. Each July the newly elected officers and Board begin their year of service. Personal and professional growth is the result of service to our fellow office staff. Life-long friendships also result from these relationships. |

| Did we mention friends and fun - a winning combination! |
