2007 National Conference in Seattle, Washington

	NAEOP's annual conference for 2007 was held in July in Seattle, Washington.
The opening session includes a flag ceremony with Presidents of each association carrying their state flag. Each state wears colors chosen by their members to represent their state. Nebraska members have chosen to wear navy blue and gold, our state flag colors. In this picture, NEOPA's President, Christine Cary, CEOE, presents the Nebraska flag.
	Dr. Giacomo (Jack) Oliva, Dean of the Hixson-Lied Fine & Performing Arts College at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln was named the 2007 Educational Administrator of the Year. Here Dr. Oliva is shown with Olive T. Ritchie at the Awards Luncheon.
NAEOP issues a number of national awards for newsletters, membership growth, and websites. This year, LPSAOP, the Lincoln Public Schools Association for Office Professionals, won first place for their website. NEOPA was awarded third place for our website, NEOPA was awarded first place for our newsletter, The NEON, and UNOPA was awarded third place for their newletter, UNOPA Notes. NEOPA was also awarded fourth place in the State Affiliates with Increase in NAEOP Membership.
	Besides workshops, educational credit, general business sessions, hospitality rooms, and lots of networking, there is also time for some socializing and fun. Here are NEOPA members enjoying a nice evening dinner.
There are general business sessions for members of NAEOP to elect people to committees and to hear business sent forward from the Advisory Council delegates.
	And did we mention fun?! There are usually tours before and after each conference for the participants and their guests. Here is a picture from the tour of the Space Needle.
