2005 National Conference in Tuscson, Arizona
 |
NAEOP's annual conference for 2005 was held in July in Tucson, Arizona. Over 500 educational office professionals gathered for one week in scenic Tucson to network, grow personally and professionally, and to return to their positions enriched and ready to serve during the year ahead. |
| There are a number of member luncheons included in the conference registration package. Here, Nebraska members are getting ready to honor Sandy Watmore, CEOE, (center) for having received the Olive T. Ritchie Office Professional of the Year Award. |

 |
Twenty-eight educational office staff from Nebraska associations attended this conference. Members were from the cities of Lincoln, Omaha, Denton, Brainard, and Wayne, Nebraska. |
| LPSAOP, the Lincoln Public Schools Association for Office Professionals, won first place for their newsletter The Chronicle. NAEOP issues a number of national awards for newsletters, membership growth, and websites. Its' fun to compete with your neighboring states, as well as to produce a quality newsletter or website for your members. |

Besides workshops, educational credit, general business sessions, hospitality rooms, and lots of networking, there is also time for some socializing and fun. There are usually tours before and after each conference for the participants and their guests. |
| There are general business sessions for members of NAEOP to elect people to committees and to hear business sent forward from the Advisory Council delegates. The opening session includes a flag ceremony with Presidents of each association carrying their state flag. Each state wears colors chosen by their members to represent their state. Nebraska members have chosen to wear navy blue and gold, our state flag colors. |

And did we mention fun?! Here members are enjoying a luncheon meeting together. Themes abound around each meal as we learn about the city and state which is hosting the conference. Tucson members shared a lot of information about the diversity of their state and its people. |
